As an agile organization, the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR) is committed to dynamic thinking and proactive behavior. This mindset and a proactive and sustainable approach are applied to shaping the future. In this way, we help an excess of 2,300 students become highly qualified and responsible individuals. The FHGR offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and continuing education programs in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computational & Data Science, Digital Science, Management, Mobile Robotics, Multimedia Production, Photonics, Service Innovation & Design, Supply Chain Management, and Tourism. Study programs and research at the FHGR are interdisciplinary and oriented towards practical challenges facing business and society. Jointly, everyone at the FHGR contributes to enhancing the quality of its activities and the whole institution.

Degree programs

The FHGR offers various Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Its Bachelor’s degree programs in the field of business and services are Business Administration, Digital Business Management, Information Science, Service Innovation & Design, Sports Management, Tourism, as well as the Digital Supply Chain, which is a new Bachelor’s degree program starting in fall 2021. Most programs are also available to part-time students, allowing them to study while working and gain practical experience at the same time.

The Master’s program offered at the FHGR follows a Bachelor’s degree program and prepares students for more demanding professional roles. It is designed to be practice-oriented, and students can study either full-time or part-time. The Master of Science in Business Administration has the following specializations: Information & Data Management, New Business, and Tourism & Change.

Continuing Education

The FHGR offers a diverse range of continuing education programs that are highly target-oriented and help practitioners advance in their professional development. All training courses are offered on a part-time basis. It currently consist of: Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programs in Digital Technology & Operations, Digital Transformation, General Management, New Business Development, and Smart & Digital Marketing, Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) programs in Business Administration, eHealth, and Energy Management, Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) program in Business Administration, Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) programs in Event Management, Leadership in Public Administration and NPOs, Sports Management 4.0, and Tourism 4.0, Various shorter continuing education courses.

Services

In addition to research & development projects, the FHGR also carries out service projects for its external partners. These include studies, consulting mandates, expert opinions, as well as tests, measurements, and analyses conducted and supervised by FHGR lecturers and research associates using established scientific methods and tools.

Research & Development

Concerning its research & development and the transfer of knowledge and technology, the FHGR maintains close ties with the private sector and with public and non-profit organizations. Partners benefit from specialists in a broad range of disciplines as well as a modern research infrastructure that complements their own. Access to FHGR expertise can take various forms.

As a topic, entrepreneurship is divided into two focus areas: private entrepreneurship and public entrepreneurship. Taking responsibility and striving for sustainability are also components of entrepreneurial action. Therefore, corporate responsibility permeates both research areas in the FHGR’s efforts to promote a responsible attitude among entrepreneurs.
