Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1997 and is one of ten accredited Swiss universities of applied sciences, the only one of which is privately funded. It offers part-time degree programmes and has four departments or schools: Kalaidos Business School, Kalaidos Law School, Kalaidos School of Applied Psychology and Careum School of Health.
The Economics department, which includes the Kalaidos Business School, is the oldest and, with around 3,500 students, the largest of the four schools.\u00a0It offers BSc and MSc degree programs in a range of subject areas as well as approximately 300 continuing education courses (CAS, DAS, MAS, MBA\/EMBA, DBA). In addition, it also provides research & development and other academic services for corporate clients.<\/p>

Teaching and research services are placed entirely at the service of our students’ professional practice. This results in degree programs that lead to an immediate professional qualification and have a proven effect on career development, enabling participants to realize their full potential in their chosen field.<\/p>

All degree programs are designed to be completed while working or balancing other commitments. No full-time studies are offered.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The study programs leading to a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree are practical and scientifically based. They impart knowledge of scientific methods and their application enabling students to apply what they have learned directly and immediately in their everyday working lives.<\/p>

Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences is the only business school in Switzerland where people with a vocational baccalaureate can complete a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in law. Also unique is its online Bachelor of Science degree program without compulsory attendance, which can be completed entirely part-time and independent of time and location.<\/p>

With Kalaidos HyFlex+, Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences also offers its students added flexibility and further enhances the compatibility of studies, career and private life. Students can flexibly choose the form of participation that best suits their current professional and private situation: livestream, face-to-face teaching or time-shifted learning. HyFlex+ thus takes into account the realities of modern learning, where mobility, working hours and personal commitments vary. In addition, the AI-based learning app Brian supports targeted and efficient self-study. Thanks to HyFlex+, exams can be taken digitally on your own computer, regardless of location, and postponed if necessary.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

New forms of work require new key qualifications \u2013 and thus great willingness of organizations and their employees to engage in continuing education and training.<\/p>

The Kalaidos School of Business and Management is constantly developing new study programs relevant to the current and future job markets. These enable career-relevant knowledge to be acquired quickly and reliably, using innovative technical and didactic methods.<\/p>

Around 300 continuing education programs are available at the CAS, DAS, MAS, and MBA\/EMBA levels, which can be completed online or in face-to-face classes. In addition, in cooperation with foreign partners, there is the possibility of DBA studies independent of time and location to achieve a doctorate.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To ensure exchange between science and practice, the service area of applied research and development is engaged in the planning and implementation of research projects and services that are on the market and for which third-party funding is obtained.
In addition, internal services, such as ensuring the quality standards of student theses and supporting applied research in the areas of continuing education, services and teaching are provided.
