The ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) is one of the largest business schools in Switzerland, with around 9,000 students in degree programs and continuing education. It makes a constructive contribution to solving the economic and social challenges of the present and the future.
Its guiding principle \u2018Building Competence. Crossing Borders.\u2019 stands for high-quality education and training, research and openness to the world. The SML maintains numerous co-operations with over 190 selected partner universities worldwide in order to foster international exchange.
Under the umbrella of the ZHAW, the SML works closely with other disciplines. The internationally recognised Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, cooperative PhD programs and numerous continuing education courses are scientifically sound, interdisciplinary and practice-oriented.
Since 2015, the SML has met the high standards of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). In 2023, the SML received EQUIS accreditation and in 2025 AMBA accreditation, further international seals of approval for the highest quality in teaching, research and continuing education. With these three most relevant international accreditations, the SML holds the coveted \u2018Triple Crown\u2019. With its degree and continuing education programs, the SML is regularly included in prestigious rankings published by the Financial Times.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The SML degree programs are practice-oriented and scientifically sound. The Bachelor\u2019s degree programs (Bachelor of Science, BSc) offered at the SML impart modern specialized knowledge geared to the needs of businesses. They have a strong practical orientation and provide a sound level of supplementary general education in specific areas. Graduates are prepared for immediate entry into their chosen fields. After earning a Bachelor\u2019s degree, students also have access to various consecutive Master\u2019s degree programs. These allow them to develop their skills and expertise even further.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The latest findings from science and practice mean that what was new yesterday can become quickly outdated.\u00a0The SML exchanges views and information with companies, trade associations, and other partners and continuously adapts its products to meet changing requirements. In this way, we help professionals prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. The SML offers numerous practice-orientated and scientific continuing education opportunities.<\/span><\/p>

The programs are taught by lecturers who combine professional and academic qualifications, and by experts in their fields. Participants work on real-life case studies and gain insights into the current state of research.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The research we conduct and the services we provide at the SML are theoretically sound and practically relevant. Our consulting mandates combine practical experience, theoretical expertise, and comprehensive methodological competence. We are prepared to cross geographical and disciplinary boundaries if a project calls for it. We are happy to do research and carry out consulting projects on behalf of our clients in addition to developing and delivering training courses. We serve a range of clients, from SMEs to international corporations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Research at the SML consists of applied basic research and research projects in collaboration with external partners. We also attach great importance to promoting young talent, such as through our cooperative doctoral programs.
